Complications may include an increased incidence of infertility, miscarriage, and adverse obstetric and fetal outcomes. There is also evidence to suggest that inadequate treatment of overt hypothyroidism or subclinical hypothyroidism(SCH) can lead to infertility, miscarriage, and adverse obstetrical and neurodevelopmental outcomes.
